This is literally the end of an era for me! I still remember finding Black Pearl Sims back in the day (around 2007?). It was indeed an iconic forum for the SIMS 2. Life for me has changed so much that now I create real life "sims" homes. Who knew from a hobby of building and decorating virtual homes I would turn into that business after all these years! So, I guess this is my Thank You to this community and goodbye to both the game and the forum! I wish every single person who spent hours and effort to this, the old and new version of the forum to have a lovely, dreamy and healthy life!
PS: I signed to the new version just to lurk from time to time!

Have commented on the tumblr post but feel I need to comment here too. This was my absolute favourite site right from the beginning of black pearls, it was the place for wcifs, contests and getting constructive feedback about your designs. Unlike other forums if you asked a question you'd get an honest answer and not a snarky response. When I was a stay at home mum with the kids at school and my jobs done (let's be honest half the time the jobs wouldn't even be done and I'll still be iny jammys) I'd spend countless hours going through people's pictures, looking at the wcifs and finding out were I could get it, you guys gave me a love for beautiful cc especially deco and build items and made me want to preserve it when creators would move on. I also loved the short time being a moderator and seeing how things were run and the hard work and dedication you guys put into it. So thankyou everyone involved over the years with the numerous sites, the time and effort to keep it going, the love we've all felt, letting us all into each others lives, loves, heartaches and accomplishments, and all the work gone into moderating, creating, mentoring, contests, and just being amazing. You guys are a huge foundation of the Sims community and this site will be missed.

Tiffany, you are an amazing creator ( just look what you did with the Curio house ) and I was a huge fan of your site and all you've done to keep TS2 alive. I don't know if you still have time to create, didn't check your Pinterest in a while, but you are most welcome to join us on the new site! Thank you for your warmhearted words!

Thanks sweets. I still build every now and then but it now takes me months to complete (if I even complete it) where it used to take me a few hours! Plus our pc is on its last legs, we can't turn it off for fear it won't go back on again!!    The old girls done well though. (The pc, not me 😂) Is there a link to the new site? Would love to join just to be able to pop in from time to time and say hi.

I remember the release of Sims 2, it was like a wonder. Like many of you I have spent hours and nights building and decorating. Then we got our first recolors and finally new meshes. It was so great. I remember Black Pearl as well, with so many sweet memories.


 I was mainly a lurker here, because I play only with Sims 4. But I liked to visit you and to remember the golden age.

I give you all a big THANK YOU for all your work and for keeping Simpearls alive during such a long time. The idea that everything will continue is a big comfort.
I wish you all the best in the future. Please, take good care of yourselves.
