I am having troubles figuring the floorplan for this round.
1. The 6x4 area in the back left corner is walled all around? Is its purpose only for a stairway? Can we put the door wherever suits our kitchen design best?
2. How far below ground must our foundation be? I live in an old schoolhouse where my bedroom was once the kitchen in the basement. It's 9 or 10 feet from floor
to ceiling with windows around 6' up. They once were block glass windows but someone changed them to newer ones and but the original ones were 3' or so high.
Only the bottom half of the room is underground. When I look out my windows, I see above the ground.
3. The front wall is dropped - are there windows or doors on this wall? Are those 3-tile windows on the sides in the front?
4. Can we lower the ground around the front where there are regular walls so that our kitchens don't have  a moat around the front?
5. Where's the pantry?
Thanks for helping.

To add on to Debbie's questions...the added door for pantry or to the outside...is it just one or the other? Or can we have a pantry door and one out to the garden? And can we add walls outside of the room for the panty if you can see into it from the door? Like the other rooms in the first round. Just a peek into the pantry.

You can call me Jones

Sorry but I am a little confused about the basement part.

Is the red part completely under ground or partially?
Are the stairs in the red part outside the kitchen and there is a door to enter the kitchen?
The non red part, is that area a walk out basement? To a garden?

To Debbie
1. the red area in the back on red is for the stair and you can put a door that can access that stair as an enter-exit point. Anywhere you like. You don't need to show the back left red part in your overview picture.
2. You can put privacy windows on the red walls, so it's not completely into the ground.
3. The front wall and every wall that is not red can have normal windows, also a door into the garden outside if you wish. Napoli is build on a hill, so the terrain of the villa is not flat.
4. Yes
5. You don't need to design a pantry for this kitchen, you can show an access to it. I guess is more like a cellar than a pantry, but is not a requirement.

To Jones:
Yes. it can be one or the other, but the front must face the garden. There must be two doors one is the access from the staircase, the other is where ever you see fit. The second door is not open, you don't need to make other walls.

To Bridelyn:
1. Partially, if you want you can put privacy windows on the upper part of the wall.
2. The red part is outside the ktchen, you just need a door to suggest this is the entry from the house. Anywhere you like on one of the two walls that surround the staircase.
3. Yes.

Hi Roxana,

Sorry I still don't understand this floor plan - could you make please post the picture and draw on it to explain it better?

Also I have no idea how to build that - could you make it a bit easier to build?

You need to build half-basement level, where 3 walls surroundings by the ground and one (where 1-9 numbers) are opened for garden view.

I don't know how it works in The Sims 4, but in The Sims 2 to do this you need to build a foundation, lower a ground on one side to the floor level high, remove the entire foundation, leaving only 3 sides and build a room inside it with the wall.

And you need boolprop constrainfloorelevation false cheat to build it

If you have problems on building on a slope terrain, don't stress. You can build this above ground with normal walls, just keep in mind that the red walls must have only privacy windows.
I'm not at home right now so I can't show you on the floorplan that I build, but I'm pretty sure you don't need the cheat for building bellow ground.

I don't know the reason for your decision, I know it must be a good one, but I'm so sorry to hear it, cause you did great on the first round and I was looking forward to see what you can do next. Please put a JFF at the end of the round, if you can. Thank you!

As a person who build a whole villa like this in S2, I can say - its better way, because for the contest you build only one room and it will be a difficult to take a SS of it because of slope - SS will be good only from one side where garden side, because camera will stuck with slope  owl  Looks like.... a hardmode for Sims 2 entry)))
And this slope will never visible actually x) good idea for architect and builders - bad for interior design.

I use the demolition wall technique that Debbie was showing in the first round comments and never had an issue taking pictures, even W and S seam to do nothing for me while in Tab mode. But you can do this with normal walls if you wish, after all is a make pretend world we are talking about!

Default S2 camera are binded with ground and when you twist camera beside with slope, camera slide up with it... \_(ツ)_/

And again, there no REAL rason to use this "Slope-side-wall-room" because it will be not visible inside. Its just extra and unnecessary work for the participants. Of course, only if I didn't see that participants needed to take a screenshot of the outside. And then, if judges don't want to see strange angles on screenshots and want quality, like in magazines, then these two conditions contradict each other. \_(ツ)_/
