An Oldie but a Goodie. August 2024 Copy Cat Stuffs
« on: June 23, 2025, 06:54:49 AM »

Almost two years ago we had this Copy Cat. I made some new stuff for it to match Betsy's picture.
I didn't like the way my cabinet looked - I admit to making it hurriedly to get my entry done in time - and told myself I'd fix it up soon.
Soon turned into over a year later. I find the funnest un-done things in my old to-do folders.

Here's a pic of the chair and stuff from back then full sized instead of cut-off to match the contest picture:

And a little swatch of stuff :

For my entry, I made smaller versions of Pixelry's Eames Birds conversion (repo'd to Pix's), the painting on Veranka's Ytterbium conversion,
converted BuffSimm's Retro Turtle and made a recolor to match the contest pic, recolored Nemestria's candle, recolored a "chair with pillow" that
doesn't have the name of the creator on it, and used Tinkle's hanging bucket to make a bucket of daisies to set on the cabinet.
Speaking of the cabinet . . .

There it is in its new and improved form. It has no recolors, just comes in the color of the contest  thpic.I think we have to play withe multi
a little to get the shadowed areas lighter.

And, here's some recoloring resources if you want more recolors of the stuff I made.

I can't believe it was two years already! This contest was very good for creativity, I'm so sorry it had so little impact on our creative members!
You also needed to find stuff, but sometimes it's easier to make your own and that cabinet came out beautiful! I knew the instant I saw it, it was your creation, because it didn't look like anything I could find  and I searched for a lot of cabinets those days.
Thank you for sharing!
Also I'm very excited about the smaller version of the birds, cause I'm always on the hunt for something to put on my virtual shelves! I would like to learn how to do that!
