My question - does every window need to be a full length window? (floor to ceiling)? Or can some of them be "counter" or some other half-height sized windows?

Also, if we do the kitchen, and therefore need to do a pass-through window, are we allowed to change the kitchen door/doors placement?

You can use any size windows. All doors and windows must remain in place. You may not move location of doors/windows.

Thank you :D

I understood not moving exterior doors and windows, and the bathroom doors; I was unclear about the kitchen doors due to the option of building out the kitchen and the option of adding a pass-through window.

Again, thank you for clearing that up.

Speaking of windows, I understand about height (any), but I'm gonna be a pain and clarify on width: as long as the total width matches (1 tile, 3 tile or 4 tile) may we...? I'm guessing no but wanted to be sure.

Yes! You can use any door/windows 1-tile, 2 tile, 3 tile, 4 tile...as long as they fit on the specific areas shown on the floor plan

I know we aren't allowed to add/remove windows, but if I were to use windows, not as windows, like sort of on the back of a booth as a divider, would that be ok?

Hi I have some questions which there seem to be an awful lot of this round  :flowheartpink
Can I add half walls in the rest rooms to create cubicles for the toilets?
Also I want to put a serving hatch (not sure if it's called that in other countries) where food is passed from the kitchen to the dining area can I replace two of the full height walls with half tile walls?
Final question is this a diner in the 1950's or a diner 'inspired ' by the 50's?

Sorry for lots of questions. yummycone

Justjones...you can use dividers between the booths....but you cannot add walls to place windows in :)
Ivyrose...you cannot replace any of the walls...but you can add a passthrough window to the full wall...and yes you can add half walls fences and any decorative building elements.and it can be either....as long as it looks 50's style :)

This is just a comment:
This round, the questions themselves are almost as fun as the entries. Clearly the creative juices are flowing freely!

IVYROSE I'm especially glad for your last question, it occurred to me yesterday, as well. That helps significantly. I realized I have no idea what light fixtures looked like at the time, for instance, no commercial ones. The question became "Well, does it matter"?
Michelle, your answer cleared that up for me, I think. Thank you!

Thanks, Michelle. Though if half walls are allowed, that'd be much simpler than wrangling windows on omsps ;)
