Dipping My Toes into the Sims 3 Waters
« on: October 19, 2016, 12:08:20 AM »
Since I can't seem to play either Sims 1 or 2 on my computer anymore (Windows 8), I've been trying to decide between Sims 3 & 4. I can only afford one. Right now I'm leaning towards 3. Can anyone tell me anything they wish they'd known before buying it? I'll look for all the mods to make it better, etc., but I'd love to hear your opinions. I'm so sad to see 1 & 2 go, but to be "completely surrounded by no Sims" is driving me crazy!

Thank you!!!

Thanks for your comment, Takart. That is definitely in 3's favor! And thanks for the link.  Much appreciated! :)

If you like The Sims 2, I think, that you will like The Sims 4 too. But The Sims 3 is a more different game, your sim can walk in the all city, you can create worlds for your game, you can use the Create Style Tool,  and customise everything, clothes, furnitures, walls, floors, without cc, and you can create patterns for your game. The Expansion and Stuff packs for The Sims 3 add more for the game, in my opinion, not as for The Sims 4. But this is only my opinion, I love The Sims 3.

Thanks so much, teddybear! Your opinion helps a lot! You've made me much more comfortable w/ the idea of Sims 3. :)

I have both, I feel like both offer different qualities to the game, but the one thing that put me off the sims 4 was the cartoony feel to it. I like the more realistic graphics of the sims in ts3. Plus ts3 has toddlers haha.

Thanks! Yes, as annoying as they can be, I'd miss those little toddlers!
