Bed Stuy Townhouses

This Lot started it`s live as a Corner Lot made by Mr. Spooks. The thing that completely exited me was the fact that this was a real Corner Lot,like in you cn actually decorate both "Streets".
Because this was kinda confusing to me i downloaded that Corner Lot,tear it apart and tried my Luck.
The Result is a handsome group of three fresh renovated Townhouses.
They all feature outstanding Millwork, original Details,Hardwood Floors and Tin Ceillings.
They are also equipped with working AC`s and Heating aswell with working Fireplaces (woodburning!!!)
All Plumbing and Electric was modernized, too.

The pesky Letterbox was well hidden behind one door beneath the Entrystairs...

Outside View:

Entry with vestibule:

Hallway:

Parlor:

Baywindows with Library Nook:

Bright and friendly Eat in Kitchen:

Gardenlevel with Livingroom,Office and Mudroom:

Backyard:

Rooflight:

Rooms in the upper Floor include three Bedrooms and a Bathroom:

Floorplans:

So,watcha thinking of this project.Anything you would change?

Another Set of modern Brooklyn Townhouse Development leads to another Sims 2 Recreation….

The simple but yet elegant Design inspired me to recreate it bit by bit.The Floorplan matches the original one and also the "hidden" Mainentrance to each Unit is like in the original Counterpart.
The Windows were a bit tricky.I know they look like windows you can get on MTS or from Tinkle`s Room with a View Set but the Size and Configuration were kinda Special.Because i am a "Floorplan must fit the Sims 2 Grid"-Nerd (a Wall with a Bathtub standing parallel to it is always 2 tiles long to me....ALWAYS!!!) i tried to look for modern 2tile Windows sitting centered on 3tile Ones.Guess what, there are none.So i used more classic Windows and maching Sidewindows.

Bay Ridge: 457 Ovington Avenue

The Idea for recreating this House came from a Story on Forgotten-NY.I really liked this unusual looking House and planned to build it as close as possible to the real Version.
The Sims Version features 2 Apartments, one Ground Floor Apartment and one 2 Story Apartment, just like the Original.
If you want, you can see the Building via Streetview, just look up the Adress Bay Ridge,Brooklyn 457 Ovington Avenue

Real Version including Floorplans:

As you can see, this House has a really interesting Style, that`s the reason i actually build it.

My Version:

Groundfloor Apartment:

2-Story Apartment:

Floorplans:

I think i will upload this House sooner or later this Week....unless you think it`s totally ugly :D
BTW,the Article on Forgotten NY once called it "like something out from a Fairytale".
So....Fairytale or nightmare?
