« on: June 15, 2015, 09:40:23 PM »
So, I know I can't play 2 or 4 on my year old stand alone, what I'm wondering is this, my older HP laptop, which still runs like its new, can play 2 or 3, do you think it would play 4?

thanks for the help xxxxxxxxx

I think that if you can run sims 3 on it you should be able to run sims 4 too

On my Lenovo Stand alone, I can run 3, no problem, can't run 2.  On the laptop, I ran 2 (problems with too much/bad cc) and it runs 3 great too.   I just hate to spend the money and not be able to play it.

Thanks sweetie  xxxxx

I have played sims 2 on my laptop for a few years, no problem with cc at all. It does slow down a bit when I have a huge downloads folder. I didn't try sims 3 as I hated the look of the sims, but I'm going to download sims 4 soon (after I uninstall sims 2) I'll let you know if I have any problems!

Be reminded, under graphics settings on Sims 4, there is a "Laptop Mode". It works well on my Mid-level Lenovo laptop. So, that is a suggestion. My laptop has these Specs:
AMD A6 1.8GHz Quad Core
4GB RAM
AMD Radeon R4 Graphics.
500GB HDD

On laptop mode, it works pretty solid, so maybe on lower specs you may have a chance.
But just be careful of lots of CC...but you should be fine.

Like said before, If you can run Sims 3 cleanly, you can run Sims 4 because of what they did [Laptop mode also works on my $250 HTPC with Dual Core Processor].
(Specs for that is:)
Intel Celeron 1007U @ 1.5GHz Dual Core
4GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics.

It won't run 1080P but it runs smoother at a little lower resolution, but I manage it lol.
*Ponders* I've Been Playing Sims Series...forever...It Seems
