4to2 novvvas' FOLHA Kitchen
« on: September 13, 2021, 09:19:32 AM »

Here it is at long last. A conversion of novvvas' FOLHA kitchen from Sims 4 to Sims 2. I had a few troubles along the way but everything is working fine for us, now.
The above pic are the meshes in their final form. Coloring matches as close as I can get the txmt's to match, the fridge and stove are animated and now have innards -- they started out as empty boxes.
The fridge is animated for two doors but my Sims never opened the bottom one. If a Sims does, they'll get to see a very large pic of freezer bunny's frozen face. (And stick their arm through it).

The pic with dark recolors has an island with its tables in the forefront. The blue recolors have both counters with their tables in the forefront. This was before the great
compressorizor borking. After I compressed everything so I could zip it up and get it uploaded here, I discovered that the counter with doors had been corrupted. I remade it and its matching island.
They work well once again but they and the recolors are not compressed.
The templates are 1024x1024 since I started by using the counter clone that makes both doors and drawers counters at the same time. The recolors wouldn't show up on the second one so I did them separately and used the same big template over again.

I did up all the cabinets. The regular cupboard is the master. All but the fridge cabinet are slaved. The Oven/Coffeemaker takes its own recolors, as well.
I did my best trying to get all the txmt's to match, the final meshes don't hav a some noticeable coloring differences that you see in those two pics.
On the left had side of the island table with a door, you can see a dark line, -- it's on the mesh template and all the recolors so it must've been the original mapping.

Includes all the original recolors. Three countertop woods, the stove and fridge have three recolors, all the cupboards, cabinets, counters, and end tables have four.
All the tables for placing at the ends of counters and islands are slaved to Island Table 1 for the base.
They all have their own countertop recolors since the original islands and counters had different countertop templates.

As I said before, all but the counter and island with doors and their recolors are compressed, there's a collection file, and a separate download with a few recoloring bits if
you'd like to make some more choices. They're nothing exciting but they helped me line up the counter templates immensely. If anyone wants to separate the two different
types of counters onto two different templates send your edits my way.

Download FOLHA Kitchen.

Download Recoloring Bits.

I hope you all enjoy using this set in your games.

A few quick notes:

1. The counter table with drawers does what you see it doing in the pics - the drawers become part of whatever its next to. When I fiddle with it and make it stop doing that, i'll update my post.

2. The island tables' bevel on the edge with the doors or drawers isn't the same size as the bevel on the islands. Took me forever to figure out it was the mesh, not me, that didn't lineup the same.

3. The design tool only works on the cupboard slaves if you put a recolor on the wall first. This mystifies me but it's what it does. If you put the plain white ones up, the design tool won't work.

4. I'm happy to say that I can get my slots where I want them to be once again.

5. I took previews as I went. Those color fluctuations between meshes is gone in almost everything. The appliances are slightly different from the rest -- I think it has to do with the original
clones since I made the txmt's  match as close to the counters and cupboards as I could.

I'm sorry you've had such hard time with the kitchen...I think it makes you very proud now that you're done...I love the sweet colors and the islands are too good for words, no matter what combination you use...Thank you, this will be one of my favorites!
