Thank you for the kind thoughts. The surgery is two weeks from tomorrow and I wish it was sooner to get it behind me. I bought a cheap pair of lab goggles to try to break myself of rubbing my eyes. I look like a dork in them so if nothing else they amuse my family.
I get the scrambled letters bit. Some keyboards do not like my arthitic hands! You are correct about the eye rubbing, so talk to the doctor - maybe you'll be told to wear something over your eye to protect it. I did at night.
Thanks for the kind words, Ginnie. They gave me a folder with lists. I have a habit of rubbing my eyes, which I’m trying to break myself of before the procedure because that’s a no no. I took Dad to get his done and he did okay. I just need to take a deep breath and calm down
Frances, been there, done that. Just follow directions and do what they tell you to do. As I was going in for my first eye, I was shaking like a leaf. I took a deep breath and made myself calm down. Much calmer for the second one to the point whre I was taking an interest in what was going on around me. There was a woman who came in wearing FULL makeup - even on her eyes! They made her clean it off (and yes, the diections say no makeup)
Scheduled my first cataract surgery. Just to let you know, it is possible to be hopeful for the end result and scared spitless of the route to get there at the same time.
